The FDS/RDDH Consortium runs NIC .ht and aims to promote the electronic exchange of information and, in particular, the use of the Internet, by encouraging modern ways of managing information and know-how.
RDDH was born from the need to build and develop a unifying Haitian Internet network: the local backbone. It aims to help people build reliable web projects that create wealth. Information and communication technologies are a powerful driver of sustainable development.
The four axes of our mission
- Run .ht. Allocate and administer domain names through accredited registrars.
- Keep it reliable. Keep the service stable, secure and available.
- Apply standards. Enforce the Naming Charter and international good practice.
- Support Haiti's growth. Make Haiti's digital identity known.
Each of us, in our own sphere, must join forces so that Haiti receives what is due to it from this electronic windfall.
